The Good Friday 5k features course that will suit all levels of fitness walkers, joggers and runners . The race starts and finishes near the Sports Complex, making it convenient for participants and spectators alike.
Post-Race Activities: After the race, enjoy complimentary refreshments and take part in the prize-giving ceremony, where prizes will be awarded in various categories. Celebrate your achievement with fellow runners!

Entries to www.northsligoac.ie or on the day in the North Sligo Sports Complex from 5:30pm until 6:45pm please give yourself plenty of time to register. The event starts at 7pm and all support is greatly appreciated by the club.
This event has been organised by the North Sligo Athletic Club for the past 17 years with all funds going to charity. This year the charity is Médecins Sans Frontières Doctors Without Borders. They operate in over 70 countries and go where medical care is needed most.
They are independent and neutral and work in war zones, natural disasters and disease outbreaks around the world. North Sligo Athletic club are delighted to be a position to help this deserving charity and would like runners and families to come and walk jog or run this 5k to help with the fundraising.
Hundreds of runners and walkers are expected to descend on the beautiful village of Gortin to take part in the event.
Both races start at 11:00 am from the entrance of St. Patrick’s Primary School and will finish at the entrance to the Owenkilllew Community Centre. The fully chipped timed race will include a 5-mile course for the more competitive runner and a 5 km alternative for those interested in a more relaxed day out.
The races will follow a fast flat course surrounded by the scenic hills and valleys of the Sperrins. The race committee and local community are incredibly excited to welcome runners of all levels to the race on what promises to be an enjoyable event for all involved.
